About 6 years ago (actually, probably just about EXACTLY 6 years ago, as the original idea was born on Good Friday), four friends and I formulated a plan to create a list of every drinking establishment in the Rockford area (our original idea was that if it was in the Rockford phone book, it counted, as the liquor commission wouldn't give us a list of licenses). Our goal was to visit every location on that list within 18 months, with at least 2 of the 5 original planners present for the visit to count. Now, this plan is back, in blog format. I will undertake this quest with the help of whoever I can enlist. As we visit bars, we'll review them and post the results here. If you have bar recommendations, please chime in. This should be fun. And expensive. And costly to my liver function.
